Running through the chemo

Just got back from the gym! It's day five of my chemotherapy. I was able to run (jogging is probably more like it, but close enough) 2.25 miles today with a few walk breaks. My body is hotter than usual--and by hotter I mean temperature of course--so I'm drinking more water and taking breaks when I need them. My heart rate seems to be higher throughout the day too, which is a side effect of the chemo drugs I'm on. I will only do what my body is able, but even if I slow down a bit, running through chemo will make this so much easier on me physically and emotionally. Next week I will try for some light strength training, but for now I'm happy that I've been able to do this much during these first days of treatment.

Keep up the good work friend.
You do way more than I do, and you are fighting something big!
