I'm in limbo. I've got four rounds of A/C behind me (translation: A/C = adriamycin aka "the red devil" plus cytoxan) and four rounds of Taxol to go. My oncologist sent me for an MRI to see if the chemo has had any effect on my tumor. The MRI was Friday and today is Wednesday. That's a long time to wait for test results when you are fighting cancer.
Today I see my oncologist. I am hoping that he will be speaking to the radiologist who is evaluating my MRI to get the results. The results of this test will determine whether I go to surgery next or back to chemo. The idea of getting a break from chemo is almost worth a trip to the operating table. Not that I have a choice. It all has to get done eventually.
In the meantime I feel really good, but . . . I am in limbo.
