Finally, after an agonizing five days, my oncologist called to report that there was no cancer found on my MRI. Fantastic! Now, you would think I'd be done, but I'm not. I'm still headed to the operating room sometime in the next month or so and after I recover from that I will be back in the chemo room for the other four rounds of Taxol.
No matter. The last two months of chemo worked on me and that's all I care about right now.

- I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma ER+/PR+, Her-2/neu -. I had a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, 4 rounds of Adriamycin/Cytoxin, 4 rounds of Taxotere, 7 weeks of radiation from February to March. In April I started the next stage of treatment: Tamoxifen and possibly Arimidex in a few years--both drugs specifically designed to fight estrogen positive breast cancer.

Yeah LIZ!! I'm so happy that the MRI was positive. And I'm jealous as heck that you have a chemo break. Can't wait 'till I can raise a glass of vino myself!
