Two down, two (?) to go

Monday was my 2nd of 4 Taxotere treatments. This is not as bad as the first four I had back in June and July. I am tired a lot and my hair is falling out again, but there is virtually no nausea. The fatigue is bad. No amount of resting helps really, but getting out for a walk every night feels good and helps me to sleep a bit.

A study came out this week about Taxol which is a related treatment (Taxotere being the synthetic form of Taxol). This study says that Taxol does not significantly help women with the type of cancer I have (node positive, estrogen postive, HER2/neu negative). Of course this is disconcerting news and I will talk with my oncologist tomorrow about it. It may not affect me and if there is any chance that this is going to help me, I will continue. Even if there are long lasting side effects, in order to experience side effects, I gotta be around. And I plan to be.
